Troy Black is the founder and president of God's Outdoors Disciples Ministries, a ministry that targets all those who enjoy the Huntin' and Fishin' Sports with the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is 45 years old and been involved in ministry for 13 years with 8 years of that being with God's Outdoors Disciples Ministry. He is married to Robin and has two great kids. He is the host of Thoughts From The Deer Stand, a 30 minute Christian Huntin' & Fishin' radio program that airs weekly.
He is a certified Hunter's Education Instructor, Speaker and amateur writer who writes devotionals centered around the spiritual things God shows us while in the field. He is an avid hunter who enjoys chasing whitetails over the hills and hollers of western Kentucky with his bow and arrow. His favorite big game includes white tail and turkey, while his favorite small game are rabbit and squirrel.

Troy learned while a young Christian that he doesn't love to hunt, but loves Jesus Christ and enjoys Huntin' & Fishin'. He enjoys working with kids who don't have someone to take them huntin' or fishin' and experiencing their first time with them. He believes that the ultimate way to lead somebody to Jesus is to first live it yourself, practice what you preach, earn people's trust as you build a relationship with them and allow them to see the Jesus that lives inside of you. It always opens up doors to share the gospel message. Over the last several years Troy has helped countless people harvest their first deer, turkey, squirrels, rabbits, ducks and fish as well as lead a large number to the foot of the cross.

He wanted to be part of the Pro-Staff of GCC because he wanted to be involved with other men who were Christian Hunters. He also believes that GCC is "the greatest Camo Pattern since, well, ever!!!"
